Option 1 use a laminate edge trim and the butt the tile up to it.
Tile higher than laminate transition.
Laminate flooring manufacturers often sell various types of transitions and trims that perfectly match their flooring.
If you do have matching levels you can butt the tile up against the wood for a flooring change that is free of a transition strip.
The hardwood strip is unfinished and can be stained to match the color of the laminate flooring.
The tile is butted right up to the floor end cap making any transition strips or t track unnecessary.
If you have tile it usually will have a height of an inch from the sub floor.
In this case here are a couple options i would suggest.
The end cap blends in without being distracting.
Both the tile and wood are run lengthwise through the rooms only broken up by the end cap.
On the market there are several types of transitions starting with the most common ones based on a u shaped metal track up to the adjustable transition strips.
When the transition from tile to laminate is under the door you have to make sure you will install it parallel with the door as to obtain a nice effect.
It can also be used in situations where the floor that the laminate is meeting is higher than the laminate.
A half saddle transition strip is designed for flooring where one level is higher than the adjacent level.
This transition strip is designed for joining a laminate floor to a tile floor.
Wood for example has a very different finish height than ceramic tile.
This means that the tile will likely finish out just a little higher than the laminate probably around 1 8.
This transition strip features molding with offset grooves to match the differing thicknesses of the flooring.
A typical laminate floor may be around 1 4 3 8 thick.
So what you can do is turn the reducer around so the lip of the reducer covers the tile.
The direction that the wood planks and tiles are laid makes this transition option even more attractive.
Ceramic tile floors tend to be higher than laminate floors because tile is installed over cement board while laminate usually lies over a thin foam underlayment.
But there will still be a small gap.
If one floor is higher than the other you will need a reducing transition strip.
That includes the tile cement board and the thin set.
If the laminate is higher than the tile as you stated the best trim from your 4 in 1 kit will be the reducer.
